So this month Brantley's preschool had their second field trip and it was to Mrs. Cavanaugh's factory. I've got to say he was really excited about this one but it definitely was not the funnest field trip. They watched 4 short shows and looked through glass windows. That was about it. All of the kids were getting pretty bored. Brantley's favorite part was they showed an I Love Lucy episode and Brantley thought it was hysterical! I've got to say though I enjoyed watching Brantley interact with his classmates. He has definitely made some friends and it was cute watching them play. And they got two pieces of chocolate out of it. Score!!

Snow!

So finally in January we got a snow storm! It wasn't much, but it was enough for the kids to go out and play in it and have some fun building a snowman and having snow ball fights. Lincoln and Elsie helped us with the snowman. Don't you think they did a great job? Way to go kids!

Poor little Lilley!! She was feeling a little crappy this day. I felt so bad! She slept most of the day and just was not wanting to do anything but sleep or snuggle. I've got to admit it though. I enjoy these moments because of all the snuggling I get and I don't feel guilty that I didn't get anything done that day since I was taking care of her. The next day though she woke up and was ready to play. Must have just been a 24 hr bug.

The Grandparents Houses

So after opening up presents at home we headed over to the St.Jeors house to open more! Then have breakfast.

Christmas Morning

Awww Christmas morning. I've always loved Christmas. The visiting family, presents, food, and the magic that is always there. I never thought that it could get better when I was a kid. Man I was wrong! There is nothing better then seeing that same magic that you experienced as a kid in the eyes of your kids. It seriously is the best thing! I LOVE Christmas! Brantley was so excited and couldn't stop talking about how excited he was that Santa was coming and he got Lilley really excited about it too. It was awesome!

I was so mad that I forgot my camera on Christmas Eve! But, the kids got their PJ's and we all have a great time and had amazing food like always. That night Brantley was so amped that I thought for sure that it was going to be a while tell he fell asleep but he kept telling himself that if he doesn't fall asleep Santa can't come. So when he hit his pillow he was out! We had everything wrapped so all we had to do is haul it all in and set it up and we were in bed by 11:30. To bad the kids kept waking up all night! Lilley woke up at 1 and 5 and Brantley woke up at 5:30 but we told him that he had to go back to bed cause Santa hadn't come yet. Brantley finally came into our room for the last time at 6:30 and we kept him there trying to hold him back tell Lilley woke up but we ended up giving up and waking Lilley up at 7:00. I just loved watching them. Just amazing. I am bummed though that for some reason my pictures didn't turn out the best. I don't know why but a lot were kinda blurry. Such a bummer! But I did a few good ones.

Family Fun

The other night we built a ginger bread house. The kids worked really well together and did a great job at building it. It's so much fun doing all of these different activities with the kids now that they are both old enough to really do them and enjoy it. All I had to do is the icing but they told me where and how. Such a great night!

Meet Buddy our family elf. Isn't he cute? I was planning on starting the elf on the shelf tradition this year and was about to order the book and elf when I ran into this little guy at Real Deals and fell in love. I just thought that he was so cute!! So we got this elf on the shelf instead of the more traditional one. The kids have had sooo much fun with this! The have had a blast waking up trying to find him every morning and I've had some fun with finding some where to hid him. He's sat in the tree, "admired" the Lego advent calendar, Hung on for dear life on Brantley's book bag (he really wanted to go to school with him for what Brantley says), rocked in Lilley's rocking chair, hung out on the stocking holders, had a marshmallow fight and made a BIG mess that Lilley had a blast cleaning up by eating them all, took a spin in Brantley's remote control Jeep and some other things. Besides the waking up early EVERY morning he has been a joy to have. We love him!

So I finally got all of our family pictures hung up in our entry way. I got to say I LOVE it! Every time I walk by it makes me smile. The canvas pictures I did! I'm pretty proud of myself but I've got to say it was pretty easy to do. I would have never thought that you could do it if it wasn't for pintrest. Such a great web site. And it only cost me $15 for all three and if I were to order them it would have been $25 each. Saving money just makes me love it even more. :-)

Decking the Halls!

So can I just tell you how much I LOVE Christmas time? I love everything about it! From the decorating, the total excitement of crazy kids, giving and lots of family time. I never decorate for any other holiday but Christmas and I go all out for it. I thought that I would document what my house looks like during Christmas. The kids had so much time decorating with me and I've got to say they did a great job.

I just love my village! It's by far my favorite decoration. I was sooo sad when Mervyns was closed cause they were the only ones that carried my village. So I can't add to it every year but it is good size so it will do.

This is our advent calendar this year! I didn't want to do the typical candy one again so I found this Lego's one and I'm hoping they will like it more. So far so good!!

So we don't have a fireplace to hang the stockings up on so I came up with this idea of sticking the hangers on the wall a few years ago and I just love it!!

Can I say that I've got the most beautiful kids ever!!

The other day it was just a normal day. You know kids running around all crazy cracking me up and also trying my patience. The winter is always hard on my kids since they love being outside and since they can't spend as much time out there they get bored which means they get into trouble. Well this other day I was watching them and I had one of those moments that I just couldn't help but think that I was so thankful that these two little people belong to me. I get to raise them and show them how to be great adults. How lucky am I?!? They are perfect, beautiful!! And I've got a perfect husband helping me in it. I'm so grateful for my life. Sure it's not always happy go lucky here. But to me a perfect life has challenges. I love being a mom, love my husband and my perfect kids. They are growing up so fast and before I know it they will be all grown up.

These two little people have made me a better person in every way. I've learned to be more patient then I ever have been, they have shown me so much love more then I could ever imagine and I love them more then anything else. I never thought that I could love anyone as deeply as I love them . They truly are everything to me and have been since I first layed my eyes on them. Being a mom has been the biggest gift I have ever received. I'm so grateful for them and my family.

So on one of these cold days the kids were getting bored and Justin and I were out of patience. I was trying to think of something to do and I remembered this from when I was a kid. I used to LOVE sliding down the stairs in a sleeping bag! So we got all of the pillows and blankets in the house, piled them up at the bottom of the stairs got a sleeping bag and down they went! The kids also LOVED it!

Halloween!

So Halloween this year was soo much fun! Although I've got to say that it is a lot of work! My kids are old enough now that they want to dress up as certain things and they want it done their way and no other. It's kind of heart breaking in a way. It just means that they are growing up and mom just isn't cool. (Aren't they still too young for that?) Brantley started the day off kind of on a bumpy start. He didn't want to have a mustache painted on for his school party but I thought that what is captain hook without a mustache? He needed one! So I tried to convince him of this and drew it on. He still didn't like it but we were out of time and late for school so I told him to just deal with it. He told me that I didn't know what was cool and that painting his face was not cool. Sad moment! I'm not cool! (I should have just wiped it off but I thought he'd warm up to it. I was wrong). He ended up crying most of the first half of the party and hiding. I felt so bad. He was embarrassed and it wasn't the normal school routine. He warmed up after a while and had a great time the second half.

Trick-or-treating was great though! By the end of the day Brantley decided that he wanted the mustache and we painted it back on for the night. Lilley and Brantley loved it! Our neighborhood decided not to do trunk or treating so we actually got a lot of kids trick-or-treating this year. We even ran out of candy! It really was a great day (well after the morning melt down). Justin even dressed up!!

Field Trip to Black Island Farms

So this week we went on Brantley's first field trip with his preschool and of coarse it was to Black Island Farms. We just LOVE this place! It is sooo much fun! The kids got to go on a tracker ride to the pumpkin patch and pick out their own pumpkin, see some farm animals and play on some pretty cool toys and rides. So much fun that we are going back this week with our neighbors and friends. It's hours of fun!

So my wonderful sister in law told me the the Energy Solutions Arena was having Lightning McQueen and Mater there for two days and that it was free!! So we decided to head down with Steph and Benjamin and check it out. Brantley was a little disappointed with the fact that Lightning McQueen didn't talk or move but he thought that it was still cool. They had a bounce house to play in and a couple of games to play to win prizes. It was a fun time. Thanks Shana for letting us know about it and thanks Steph for driving us down in your cool new van!

They only let Lilley go through the bounce house once since they did have a height minimum. She was sooo sad but I'm glad they let her go once.

I am so happy that Lilley is FINALLY starting to get hair!! I can actually do things with it now and it is so fun. She loves it too. She told me "it's soooo pretty! I love it mom!!" when I finished doing it. Such a cute funny girl!

Rainy Day Picnic

So last week we got a lot of rain and it was cold out. We had our friends Benjamin and Noah over for the day and the kids wanted to do something fun. Since we couldn't go outside I decided for lunch that it would be fun to do a picnic inside! The kids loved it! Eating peanut butter and jam sandwiches, chips and peaches on a blanket in the living room while watching a Halloween show...doesn't get any better then that!

A Little Blue

Poor little Lilley has had a few rough days (along with mom and dad). She hasn't been sleeping very well and we found out that she was getting all 4 of her 2nd year molars. She then started throwing up and waking up every hour all night long needing to go potty. We took her in and we thought for sure she had a UTI but she didn't. The doc seems to think that it was just some virus. I felt so bad. She was miserable! With getting all four teeth and some weird strange virus she had a hard weekend. Every morning she came in with me around 6:30 and we would snuggle and get a few extra zzzz's. She is on amends now just need to fix the routine of waking up several times a night. She looks so sweet sleeping!!

The Dirty Dash

This race was the funnest race that I have done by far!! It really was so much fun running, jumping and playing in the mud! I'm really not one to get dirty. In fact I really hate being dirty and I had to mentally prepare myself that I was in deed going to get dirty. But I don't know why I hate it so much because this was seriously a blast! It also was so nice having Justin there with me. It was the first time that I had ran with Justin and it was nice! We did it with my friend Aundrea and her boyfriend and a bunch of neighbors. I'm glad that Mjika invited us to do it. It will for sure be a yearly thing for us!!

This was before the race when we were all still clean. The hill behind us was the start and it was so muddy!

10 Years Ago....

10 years ago on Sept 13 we started our little family. It's hard to believe that Justin and I have been married for 10 years! It has flown by. I just thought that it would be fun to show our little time line of our life together.

Our wedding announcement. Wow we look so young!! And we were so skinny!! I would love to be that thin again. But having babies made it so that it will never happen...o well. It was well worth it! Justin and I met on Super Bowl Sunday in 2000 and started dating exclusively on March 12th 2000. Justin proposed to me exactly one year later on March 12th 2001 by video. (I still have it).

6 months later we were married. I married my best friend. That was the best decision I ever made.

We bought our first house 1 week before we got married instead of going on a honeymoon. We went up to Island Park instead which was still a lot of fun. This is us in our first house just after we got all moved in.

We weren't ready to have kids yet but 1 1/2 years after we got married we got our first "kid". Belle was welcomed into our family. When we went to the breeders house I knew right off that Belle was the right dog for us. She came right up to me and would not leave my side. She was soooo cute and tiny! She was and is such a big part of our family.

In 2005 we decided that we were ready to move out of our first house and build a house. We had just found out that Home Depot was going to be going in close to our house and we just did not want to live that close to a busy street that was going to get even busier. So we put the house up for sell. We didn't have much time to really think cause 4 days after putting it up it sold. We moved into Justin's parents house and found a house and neighborhood that we thought would be perfect for us. It really is the perfect place. We love it here!!!

After being in this house for a year we decided that we were ready to add on to our little family. Brantley was born Sept 12th 2006. It was an adjustment for sure but the best thing that had ever happened to us. He has been such a joy to have in our family. (Man he was a cute little baby!!)

On March 12th 2009 we welcomed our last little member to our family. Lilley Camille. Man we love this little girl! (did you notice a similarity in dates? Got engaged on March 12th, married Sept 13 but it was supposed to be the 12th, Brantley was born on Sept 12th and Lilley was born on March 12th! I think we like the months Sept and March and the 12th day).

Brantley is such a great big brother. He loves Lilley so much and is always looking after her and protecting her. Know one messes with Lilley (except for Brantley of coarse). They are sooo cute together!!

Best Friends for Life!!

Our family right now. It amazes me how much my life has changed in the last 10 years but it just seems like yesterday that we got married. I love my family and love my husband. It has been an amazing 10 years and I am looking forward to the next 10! Love you babe!! Thanks for marrying me. None of this would have been possible without you! We are so blessed to have such a great husband and father. Your the best!!

5 years old!

So Brantley decided to get older. I can't believe that he is 5 already!! I feel like I was just bringing him home for the first time just yesterday. Man I love this kid. He can make anyone smile anytime (as long as he wants to. Good luck in trying to get him to do it). So little things about Brantley at 5 that I don't want to forget:

He LOVES his little sister and protects her like a big brother should

He has SOOO much energy!

He NEVER slows down

He makes us laugh all of the time he really is funny!

He can be very stubborn. If he doesn't want to do something it is very hard to get him to do it

He likes to be unique. He's always got to be different then all the other kids

He is really good on two wheels whether its on his petal bike or dirt bike he's a pro!

He is loving school (and to our surprise his teacher says that he is really good in class)

He still can't sit through a movie without getting up and doing something

Always on the move

Brantley is a joy to have in our family. Yeah sure I sometimes have a hard time with him and he doesn't always listen all that well and can be a pill. But, he also can be the sweetest little guy and LOVES his family. He is so caring and is always concerned about others. We really love him and are so happy he is in our family. Happy Birthday bud!!

Labor Day Weekend

It feels like all that I ever blog about is camping trips. But the truth is that in the summer that is what we do and love so I guess that's why. Sorry if your sick of camping stuff if anyone actually reads this.

So over Labor Day weekend we headed up the the Uinta's again but this time we went to Soapstone. I know I've said this before but I really do love it up there!! This trip was my favorite this year. It was perfect weather and just so pretty! The only bad thing was that there were so many people. But we still had a blast. This was our last camping trip of the year. I'm sad about that. Tell next year!! (Sorry about the order of the pics. I don't know what happened and I can't figure out how to put them in the right order.)

We found a little trail that took us down to the bottom of this. It was the best ride of the weekend for sure!!!

I know I've said this before but Brantley has really gotten good at riding!

Preschool

Oh preschool...I can't believe that Brantley is in preschool already. I've been so proud of my little guy. He's been so brave and it seems like he had grown up soooo much in the last couple of weeks. To give a little history of Brantley he is not much of a fan of meeting new people and doing new things. He is normally really shy and takes a while to warm up to new people and new situations. Knowing this about him I have been worried about him going to school. We talked about it for so long before he went and got him so excited hoping that this would help him in being more comfortable in going. Well the day finally came to go and he was so brave and did amazing!! On our way there he told me that he didn't need me to walk him in but when we got there he changed his mind and said well maybe you could just walk me in and then leave. So that is what I did. We walked in. Ms. Katie called him by his name and told him to find his name at his seat and start tracing his name. He found his name and then told Ms. Katie that he didn't know how to trace his name. (I was confused at this since I have him do this all of the time at home). He then got this little smirk on his face as Ms. Katie starts to help him and then starts tracing it without a problem. She then looked at him and said you know how to trace your name! (she was smiling at him) He promptly started to chuckle and told her that he was just teasing her. What a tease! He then looked at me and said "I got this mom. You can go now." It made me smile and cry at the same time. I'm so proud of him. He was so brave and did so good. He has now gone twice and he loves it!! Way to go Brantley!!

On a side note, this is what Lilley looked like after we dropped Brantley off (and I felt this way too). She missed her brother sooo much!! We miss him while he is gone!

Uintas

So one of my favorite places to go camping is the Uintas. I LOVE it up there and the kids do too! I got a lot of pictures of Brantley riding but he is getting SOOOO good. He really is a natural and he is getting to the point that he needs a bigger bike already. It is so much fun to watch him ride It amazes me!

He loved riding through the stream. He thought that he was pretty cool and I thought he was too. :-)

Everyone had a great time playing in this stream. The water was cold but that didn't stop anyone! Isn't it so pretty here? And so peaceful!!!

Following in her Brothers Foot Steps

So Lilley has learned how to ride a "big" bike with training wheels. She is following right with what her brother did and caught on to it faster. She loves being able to ride her bike with the big kids. Why is it that the sec that the camera comes out she wont smile? I just don't get it. But she still looks really cute on that bike and with her hello kitty helmet. Summer days are the best!!!

Fun with Cousins

So this last month Ryleigh and Austin have been in Utah and this week we had a great time playing. Brantley wanted to have a sleep over so I thought that it would be fun to sleep out on the tramp. The kids slept great but I sure didn't!! It was cold, it rained a little, and the neighbors stupid cat kept scratching the bottom of the tramp. Oh well the kids loved it and that's all that matters. We headed over to the Roy Aquatic Center and had a great time swimming. Sorry the quality of the pictures. I didn't have my camera so these are all taken with my phone.

The next day the fun continued by going to Boondocks. I was a little nervous that Brantley wouldn't like it and get mad cause technically he wasn't tall enough to drive the race cars on the rookie track but they said that if he could touch the pedals then they would let him and he was able too! He rod with Jennae on the fast track and drove himself on the rookie. He loved the boats too!! They had water guns on the boats and Brantley thought it was funny to shoot Jennae since she HATES getting wet. To funny. Lilley was even able to ride with Ryleigh in the boats.

New Family Pictures!!!!

So we FINALLY did family pictures this spring for the first time in 10 years!! I know really crazy but lets face it...getting your pictures taken really isn't all that fun and I especially hate getting my picture taken. Well, this experience was a lot different and really it was fun! I hired an old friend of mine from high school to do it (she does an amazing job and I just LOVE her and her work. She was great with the kids and so easy to work with). Check her out here. She lives in Oregon but travels to Utah frequently and I would highly recommend her to anyone! I will treasure these pictures and they will be hanging all over my walls really soon! These are just a few of my favorites (which is a lot).

Potty Trained!!

So we are proud to say that Lilley is potty trained and we are officially diaper free at our house!!! I've got to say it is a good feeling not buying diapers any more. Lilley did so good!!! I thought that Brantley was really easy to train but Lilley was so much easier!! It only took her peeing 3 times to realize what that feeling was and to realize that she pees in the potty and twice pooping to get that too. She's hasn't looked back since! I can take her every where and we have not had a single accident since she figured it out. Man that was easy! Way to go Lilley. We are so proud of you!! Her big girl bed will be here in a week too. She really isn't a baby anymore. Kinda makes me sad but excited all at once. My little girl is growing up!

Splash Pad

So we were FINALLY able to get to a splash pad this summer! It was a mad house but the kids had a blast and us moms had a great time talking and hanging out. We just love summer time fun!

Jumping with Friends

About every other Friday we get the great joy of watching to adorable little guys Benjamin and Noah. We LOVE having them here and the kids both look forward to when they come. This was the first time this year that the weather was great and we just had to stay outside and play. And of coarse the favorite thing is jumping!! They have so much fun! Lilley has even learned to jump with the "big kids" and holds her own. She loves it more then any of the others. Noah did not like jumping with the kids on with him so him and I hung out on the deck watching them. He thought that was great but for some reason every time I tried to get a pic of him smiling he would turn around and stop. The last pic was the closest that I could get. Just wanted to document that he was there too. Love summer days!!

This little girl is pure drama!!! It makes us laugh. She got two road rashes on her knees from falling (she's a klutz too) and I have never seen such drama before. She walked around holding onto things to "help" her walk and bending her knees. She wouldn't even wear pants, shorts etc. because she said that it might touch her owies. Ogden Marathon

So I did it. I ran the first half of the Ogden Marathon! I never thought that I would EVER run a half marathon. I felt really good for the first 10 miles and then one of my blisters on the bottom of my foot decided to pop and it was pure hell for the remaining 3 and I ended up walking a lot of it. I was upset because I was over 5 min for the slowest time that I wanted to be at but I guess I can't be to upset since I was in serious pain. The crazy thing is is that I want to do it again next year. It is kind of addicting. My nephew Cody ran the full marathon, my sister-in-law Jamie ran the full as well and Justin's aunt Brenda ran the first half with me. The rest of my team on the relay was my two cousins Steph and Sarah and my mom and Aunt Ronda. I was bummed that I didn't get a picture of all of us together but I had to get home and couldn't wait at the finish line. Way to go guys!!! It was a great experience!

So we were FINALLY able to go out for a weekend on our first camping trip! The weather this year has been so crappy but a couple of weekends ago we saw some decent weather and headed out. Right before we left we got Brantley his first motorcycle! He was so excited and I've got to say he looks pretty darn cute in all of his gear and riding around like daddy. I was a little nervous on how he was going to do but I shouldn't have worried and figured that he would be a natural on it just like he is on his pedal bike. He fell over a few times but would get right back up and go for it again. By the end of the weekend he was riding so good! He was even getting his triangle stance right!! Way to go Brantley! Now I can only hope that he wants to just ride for fun with dad and not want to start the racing thing. I'm not sure if I could handle that!

The rest of us were there this weekend and had an ok time. Poor Lilley was sick the whole weekend and when I got home I took her in and come to find out it was pneumonia! Poor girl! She was so good for having pneumonia! We only went out on one ride and played a little but it didn't last to long since she was just miserable. But it was nice to get outside and relax for a bit! The start of a hopefully great camping year!

Easter

It has been a long time since I've had a post and I have a lot of catching up to do. First off the list is Easter!! We had the typical Easter celebrations. We went to the Syracuse Easter Egg Hunt, dyed eggs, had our own Easter egg hunt Easter morning and Easter baskets. It was a blast!! The kids are getting so big and having so much fun on holidays. They actually get excited for them and know what is going on. I love it!!! The only bad thing that went on this weekend was at the cities egg hunt. There were so many people and not a lot of candy that it wasn't even worth it. Brantley especially had a bad time. They told all of the adults in his age group that they parents could not go out and help the kids get the eggs but of coarse when it was time for the kids to get the eggs all of the adults went in grabing away. Brantley ran in grabbed one egg looked up and then saw all of these "strangers" and not dad and freaked out. By the time that Justin was able to get Brantley calmed down all of the eggs were gone and he didn't get any. I felt so bad for him. So Justin and I decided that we are going to do our own egg hunt with a bunch of friends instead of going to the city ones. Other then that, it was a great weekend!

She Lilley's birthday has once again come and gone. I can't believe that my baby is already 2. I know people always say time flies but it really does!!! She is getting so big and has such a great personality. She is so funny and opinionated. When she woke up Brantley and I walked into her room singing happy birthday to her and she was so cute. She got all coy and shy about it covering up her face and all and then a little more then half way through the song she started telling me NO!! It's not my birthday day! Stop singing!! I then told her that it was her birthday and that her friends and family are going to be coming over for a party and she will be getting presents she then told me "presents? IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!" Such a funny girl! She was so excited when everyone started showing up even though I couldn't get a pic with her smiling. She was just taking it all in in good old Lilley fashion. Once everyone left she played outside with all of her new toys tell Aunt Candace picked her up to go to build a bear. I didn't get any pics of it since It was just Candace and her but Candace said that she was pretty funny about it. She said that when they got there Lilley just saying no to everything except for the stroller. So Candace chose everything out. Lilley then was so excited to push her new monkey around in the monkeys stroller around the gateway. She loves her monkey and monkey stroller! Thanks everyone who came to her party to celebrate her birthday with us. We all love you all so much!!! Thanks again for make it such a great day for her!!!!

Like Father Like Son

This was to cute not to share. Brantley loves his dad and looks up to him so much that he wants to be just like him. It really is kind of scary in a way on how much they are alike. This is just one of the times that I was able to get on camera and show how much they are alike. Here's the story.

Justin was out in the garage working on things and like always Brantley goes along with him and helps Justin out. It really is cute and Brantley is starting to kind of help and not just be in the way. Justin loves the time that he gets to spend with him out there. Just father and son. Well this time Brantley decided that he wanted to work on his "car" instead of helping Justin and without Justin knowing really what he was doing Brantley was off working on his car. Brantley came into the house a few times asking for little things that I thought were for Justin. For instance he asked for a zip lock bag to put parts in so that they don't get lost. That's one of the things that Justin does frequently so I got one for him without a problem and he went on his happy way working on his car. Well the night was getting late and they called it a night and went to bed. The next day right when Justin got home from work they were out in the garage at it again. About 1 hour into it Brantley comes running in telling me that his car is already and that we need to just go to Walmart to get the rest of the parts he needed. At that time I started questioning what he was doing. He then proceded to tell me that he wanted lights on his car so he has been taking it apart so that he can install working lights. I went out there and sure enough the headlights were out and everything was ready for working ones to be installed. He had figured out were he wanted the switch to turn the lights on and off and were on the headlights the light bulbs would go. All he needed were the lights and he was good to go. I should have known he was up to something. Justin and I were just astounded that he would think of something that he wanted and then start working for it without asking for help. He even got the zip lock bag so that he could put his parts in it so that they would not get lost. He does listen! After all of his hard work how could we tell him that he couldn't do it? It would break his little heart. So Justin figured out how to wire up lights to the battery and ordered LED light bulbs and helped him wire it up and install everything. Once they were done Brantley was so excited!! We did though have to burst a little bubble of his. He thought that once he had lights he would be able to drive his car at night all of the time since cars would be able to see him so we had to explain that he didn't have tail lights and that if a car was behind him they wouldn't be able to see him. So he can drive it a little later when it is starting to get dark, but then we have to call it a day. He was a little disappointed but got over it quick when he saw them working. He said that it was so cool!!!

So, Brantley has modified his first car. Isn't he to young for that? He truly is his fathers son. Always thinking of ways to make things better. Way to go Brantley! We love this little guy so much! He is so smart. Keep up the good work and keep those wheels turning in that brain.

So we headed back up to Island Park again last weekend for the last trip this winter and had a great time!!! The snow plow pushed all of this snow up in a big pile and it made this great little sledding hill for the kids. It was taller then the roof of the cabin. The kids (and adults) had a great time with this. Lilley just wanted to eat snow non stop instead of sledding so that is what she spent her time doing. Silly girl! It was a lot warmer this time too so the kids could go outside a lot more which made it better.

Lilley has been such a funny little girl. A couple of months ago Brantley wanted to add bubbles to their bath and Lilley HATED it! She was scarred of the bubbles. It really was kind of funny. Well we decided to give bubbles a second chance and this time she LOVED it! She asks for bubbles every time she gets into the bath now. She has done this with several things. She gets scarred really easily but if you keep trying she ends up loving it. I just love seeing her grow and seeing her personality grow as well.

So this year we brought in the new year up in Island Park at our friends cabin. We had such a great weekend but I only got the camera out on new years eve. Woops. We had a great time snowmobiling playing in the snow and hanging out with the best friends ever! The only bad thing about it was it was soooo cold! One of the days it didn't even hit 0! I guess we should expect that in Island Park right !?!

So our kids got spoiled this year!! It was so exciting to see them get so excited about Christmas. Brantley was so wired up the night before and so excited he could hardly stand it! Brantley keeps asking when it is going to be Christmas again and that he can hardly wait tell then. He's got a while tell then thankfully! Lilley was just too funny. Once she saw her wiggle car she wouldn't get off of it! She just kept riding it around the kitchen. We had to really convince her to open more presents. Oh and don't mind Lilley's nakedness. She has a problem with holding her pee in tell she sleeps and then pees all at night. When she was woken up she and her sheets where soaking wet. So she's naked!

The first present!

So this year was a little different then normal. We went to the St.Jeors for dinner Christmas Eve like always (I forgot my camera so sorry I didn't get any pictures) but instead of heading home we went over to my parents to see cousins and open all of our gifts from my parents. They flew out Christmas morning to Florida for Andrew and Abby's open house for Abby's family and friends so we were not able to see them on Christmas. Brantley really liked it this way because he was able to open all of this presents from them that night. What kid wouldn't like that? Thanks Mom and Dad! The kids loved everything! We then headed home put out cookies for Santa and off to bed he went (mom and dad ended up staying up tell 1 putting things together). Brantley really surprised us and slept tell 8! I was really shocked since for the 3 previous nights he was having issues sleeping cause he was just too excited for Christmas!!! Hahahaha. He must have been so exhausted from the lack of sleep. Christmas morning to come on the next post!!!!

At least Brantley wanted to sit on Santa's lap this year but Lilley didn't! Got to love it. Poor Lilley wasn't feeling good this year and was freezing cold. Justin had her wrapped up in his coat to try and keep her warm. I felt so bad.

This year I decided to run the Syracuse Turkey Trot 5k a week before Thanksgiving with my friend Erin. It was cold, windy and did I say cold? I had four shirts on and thermals under my pants and I still froze! It really wasn't fun but I am glad that I did it. Trying to keep up with running is not all that fun when it is cold outside. I guess that is all part of running right?

So Halloween this year was a lot of fun. We ended up going to our friends house Steph and Newels to do trick or treating since my neighborhood did trunk or treat Sat later. It turned out to be a lot better. Brantley had a great time going out with the older kids and was shown how it is done and got a lot of candy. Lilley was so cute and got right into it. She said trick or treat at almost every house then followed with Thank you! She was running to every house. It didn't even rain on us! Then we just hung out at their house. What a great night!

Layton Marathon

So I normally don't blog about me and only me, but on this one I had too. At the beginning of the summer I told myself that by the end of the summer that I was going to run a 10k. For a little history, I am not a runner, never have been, and at the time I couldn't even run a mile without dying. I could walk but not run. So when I set this goal I knew that it wasn't going to be easy. During the summer I had worked up to running 7.5 miles and thought that the 10k would be a breeze tell about 5 weeks before the race my knee started bothering me and I could barley run a mile and had to stop cause my knee hurt so bad. I went into the doc and got a steroid injected into my knee and about 1 week before the race I was able to start running again. So I was out of practice and was nervous that I wasn't going to be able to run the whole thing. Well I did it!!! It was such an accomplishment for me. The only bad thing was that I got mixed up on what time the race started and showed up 15 min after the 10k started so I had to start with the 5k runners which started 20 min after I was supposed to and just kept going. So my time that they have is 20 min longer then what I really ran it in which sucks but I at least know what my real time was. I ran it in 1 hour 1 min and 54 secs which is 9.74 min miles. Not to bad! It was great to have my family cheering me on at the finish line. Thanks for all of the support!! Now I'm training to run a half marathon! I really am liking this running thing and I'm glad that I set this goal. It really is an adrenaline rush and I wouldn't have accomplished any of this if I hadn't!

Brantley's 4th Birthday

So my little boy turned 4!! I can't believe that is is getting so big! Time just needs to slow down. He was so excited to have his birthday that every morning when he woke up he would ask if it was his birthday that day and was so sad when I told him not yet. The night before his birthday I told him that when he woke up in the morning that it was going to be his birthday. That morning when he came into my room to wake me up, he was acting all shy like he was waiting for me to say something to him. When I finally stopped teasing him and told him "Happy Birthday" he got so excited and he kept telling me "thank you" all day long. It was so dang cute!!! He had a blast at his party and was so polite to everyone. Birthday's really do get funner the older they get. He got spoiled like always. Thanks everyone who could come for making Brantley's day that much more special to him. We love having Brantley in our family. He makes things so fun and brights up every occasion. We love you Brantley!!!!

So Justin and I got the opportunity to go on a trip with a great group of friends to Cancun without the kids! It was such an amazing trip and was well needed. It was so beautiful and extremely relaxing. Get ready for picture overload! Sorry about the order, but I just didn't want to take the time to upload everything in the correct order.

The resort that we stayed at had a bunch of photographers that were going around and would take pics of you to get you to buy the pics. Well, our whole group were suckers and these are the five pics that Justin and I bought. We thought that we don't have any pics of just the two of us, so why not right? They turned out ok.

Dinner at the Steakhouse. We ate here twice since the Steaks were so good!!! Who knew you could get really good beef in Mexico!

One of the days we ventured out the Cozumel and we rented mopeds and rode them around the island. It was such a cool experience! If you ever get to Cozumel I would highly recommend this!!! This is the restaurant that we stopped at that was recommended to us by the locals. It's called Coconuts. We didn't know what kind of place this was tell we got there, and it was definitely interesting. They had shirts, bras and underwear hanging all over the ceiling of previous guests. I had heard of places like this, but had never been to one. It was interesting for sure!

One of the days there our good friend Kristy turned 30! We had to celebrate of coarse!

We also went on and extreme Tulum excursion. It was full of snorkeling in the Cenotes, zip lining threw the jungle and repealing. It was a lot of fun!

It was such a fun trip with an awesome group. I hope that we will be able to do this again every couple of years. By the end of the week though I was really missing the kids. It was the longest that we had ever left them but they did really good. Thanks to my parents, Aunt Amie and Justin's parents for watching the kids. It was so nice not having to worry about the kids and knowing that they are being well taken care of.

So I am way behind on the blog. Life has been so busy that I just haven't been able to get around to blogging. So, I'm going to try and play catch up!

In July we headed up to Current Creek in the Uintahs with Justin's family. It was a short trip, but was still a lot of fun. It is a beautiful place and was full of riding. Brantley rode his first 4wheeler all by himself and drove it just he was a pro. Looks like it is time for him to get a dirt bike. He is a natural at riding.

This ride was so muddy! Poor Lilley got covered! But she was still happy as can be and didn't mind at all. I'm glad that she keeps her goggles on!

Brantley will one day kill me for this, but it was just too cute! Boys and peeing in the woods. He loves it!

4th of July Weekend

He was so tired since he wouldn't take naps so this is what happened almost every day. Love it!

Brantley wanted to take Landin in the bike trailer so we thought we would strap it on and he wouldn't go anywhere. Well he surprised all of us and pulled him around off and on all weekend long. He is so good at riding that bike it amazes me and Landin loved it!

They slept all night all 4 nights and they were also really good in the car! It was the perfect weekend. We just love going to the cabin!

Lilley has now found a love for this car too. It is so cute to see Brantley get Lilley and want to take her for rides all over the neighborhood and she just loves to sit there and ride. Brantley spent all weekend long with Sarah and would not leave her side. It was so cute! He even told her when they were walking around that he "needed" for her to hold his hand so that he wouldn't fall!! He's already workin it with the older ladies! Man we are in trouble!

I don't understand how people can get covered in sand. It drives me crazy! They had a fun time rolling in it though.

Why is it that both of my kids love to drive?

I know this post is a little late, but I guess it's better then never! For memorial weekend we headed down south to the warm weather. We had such a great time! We went riding at Sand Hollow then went to the beach for a few hours and did a lot of riding right out of were we stayed. The kids were so good and slept real good too. It's nice having them a little older. It makes for easier trips. It was great fun and we had great weather which was well needed!

This was too funny not to post. Brantley and Lilley were playing in the laundry baskets after I was done folding laundry and Brantley decided that it would be fun to push Lilley around in one. So, he put Lilley in, and dumped a bunch of toys in there with her and pushed her around the house for almost an hour. Lilley loved it and so did I! (Don't mind the lack of clothes. They love to be in their underwear or diaper!)

Me, my mom and Aunt Bekah decided to venture out with 5 kids to the tree house for a little fun and fun we had! The kids couldn't get enough and had a blast playing with everything. I couldn't keep Lilley in one place for more then a couple of minutes except for at the chess board. She for some reason did not want to leave there. Hope she doesn't turn into a chess nerd! hahaha! Brantley had a blast with Benjamin and really enjoyed spending some time with is cousins Will and Liza since he doesn't get to see them to often. It was a great time!

So we went on our first camping trip this last weekend to the sand dunes. We went with a lot of good friends and had a blast! The weather was perfect, kids were great, had an awesome time playing in the sand and we got in a lot of riding! It was so nice to get out and camp again. It got me all excited for this summer and all of the many trips to come!

So this year we ended up going to Smiths for the Easter Egg Hunt. It was nice cause it was indoors since it was so cold but the candy was only so so. Brantley was his normal self now a days and was real intimidated by it all and was real shy on getting into it. He wanted me right by his side. It was kind of funny once he started to realize what was going on he kept telling me that if he took some of the candy then the other kids wouldn't get as much! What 3 yr old is worried about how much candy others are getting? Once the kids moved down the isle a little he would go and pick up the candy they left behind. Funny kid! Lilley did a little better, but she would get distracted by putting everything in her mouth like always. The kids had a great time!! We didn't get a lot of candy but I was glad. All I need is more candy and temptation around me!

Well it was a great night! Lilley didn't know what was going on and wasn't into opening the presents, but her big brother helped her out and opened almost all of them for her. What a great helper! She loved all of the attention that she was getting and LOVED eating the cake. She didn't even hesitate one bit and dug right in. Thank you everyone that came and all of the great gifts. She was so spoiled and walked away with ton of new toys, clothes and a quilt!

I can't believe that my little girl is already one year old. It seems just like yesterday that I was coming home from the hospital with her! It amazes me how fast time goes by now. Lilley wasn't always the best baby. We started it off bad with her having acid reflex and she was very colic! I didn't know how I got threw it, but I did. Even threw the sleepless nights, all of her sicknesses, and crying. She is now such a sweet heart. She will play by her self and only starts crying if shes hungry, tired or needs her diaper changed. Some of the things that she loves are mom, her big brother (she follows him around everywhere), playing with toys (any toys as long as there is something to play with), her bottle, she loves to play outside and almost any food. She has really started eating a lot! At 1 year old Lilley weights in at 20 pounds 9 ounces (40%) is 29" long (46%) and her head is 17.5" (30%). She is such a joy to have around the house. She brightens up our day everyday. It's kinda sad that my baby is not really a baby anymore and that I wont be having another one. But I am real excited for all of the new things that she is going to discover and learn in the next few years. We love you Lilley!!! Happy Birthday!

Catching his fall

So Brantley has been bugging us to take off his training wheels so this weekend we decided to give it a shot and he did great! Within a couple of tries he was off. He is still having a hard time with starting on his own but once he gets going, there is no stopping him. He has been riding nonstop since. He was making us laugh so hard. Every time he would fall, he would get right back up and tell us that "falling is just a part of learning to ride a bike!" and would give himself little pep talks to get the courage to get back up and go again. He is such a funny kid and will not give up on anything that he tries to do. Way to go Brantley! We are so proud of you!

So, I have to do a little more bragging. Isn't this roll cage on the RZR awesome!?! Justin designed and built this so that our whole family could have a seat in the RZR and ride around safely! Isn't he so good at what he does? (Ok so on with the post).

We went out for the first time this year today and it was GREAT!!! Brantley had a blast riding in his own seat and Lilley was an angel and loved it too! It was a little on the cold side and we got a little of rain, but it was so fun to get out and ride again. It just made me really wanting summer to get here so that we can do this several times. We are so ready for it!

I NEED HELP

So I am in need of some help. I have lost our babysitter again and need to find someone as soon as possible. I really don't want to put my kids in a daycare and would rather find someone who wants to watch two extra kids for only two days a week for a little extra money in their home. It would be on Monday and Tuesday 7am-4pm, but if someone could do it on another day, my work is really flexible and I could move things around if necessary. I would really like to find someone who is wanting to do it for a while and not just a month or two. I don't want to keep doing this and trying to find someone to watch them. Brantley has a hard time with change. So, if anyone knows someone in the Syracuse, Layton area that is wanting to take my kids in two days, let me know! They are coming to work with me and that just is not working well. Thanks for your help!!!!

Just thought that I would post some random pics of the kids since I haven't posted in a while.

Eating pancakes with Marion Berry syrup! I love this stage! When they eat and only half of the food actually gets in their mouths and the rest every where else.
Brantley gets dirty every day after working in the garage with daddy. He loves it!

Lilley is cruising around all over the house with this! She could walk by herself if she would just get the guts to do it. She will walk with holding one hand and I barely hold onto her. She's growing up to fast!

Sledding

Having a Blast!

So we decided to go sledding this weekend! Justin's sister lives in Mtn Green and has a great sledding hill across the street so we thought we would check it out. You are all going to think that we are horrible parents for this, but this was Brantley's first time sledding!! I know, pretty bad. He was a little unsure at first, but once he went down a couple of times he loved it! Lilley, on the other hand, cried the whole time unless I was holding her and not sitting down. I took her down the hill once, and she screamed the entire time. Maybe next year she will like it better. Thanks Steph for letting us invade your house and taking great care of us! We had a blast!

The Second Day in the Hospital Not Very Happy but Looks Alot Better!

So, Lilley gave us a little scare these last couple of days and I'll start from the beginning on what happened. Sorry it is going to be kind of long. On Wednesday, Lilley started getting a little congested and had a cough. Nothing big, just the normal cold. On Friday, we went in to get her tubes put in, and the docs listened to her and everything sounded great so they went ahead and did the surgery and everything went great! So, we went home and Lilley spiked a fever of 102.6 and was coughing so hard that she was throwing up. Well, we ended up going to the insta-care that night and the doc said that she sounded good but he thought that she had bronchitis (which was totally wrong!) and gave us an antibiotic and told me what to give her for the cough and we were off. Well, Sat she slept most of the day but the cough was gone (which was a really bad thing and at the time I did not know that) and I figured sleep was good. Sunday came, and she was a lot happier. She was moving around and not sleeping at much but her breathing was getting a little questionable. So, that night I ended taking her to Justin's sisters house (she's a nurse and worked in the NICU for a long time and in the nursery) and she said that her breathing was fast and her lungs sounded crackly but that she was breathing fine and to keep an eye on her through the night so I did. Monday morning we woke up and she sounded the same and I was debating on if I should take her in or not. Well, I finally decided that it was better to be safe then sorry and I am so glad that I did! The doc was behind and while we were waiting her breathing started to get a lot worse. Her nose started flaring and her chest started retracting and I couldn't get her to stay awake. SO SCARY!!! We finally got back there and he checked her breathing rate and her blood oxygen saturation levels and that was 89 and 90 which is really low. So we went up for a chest x-ray (not fun at all!!! Never want to do that again) to make sure she didn't have a bacterial infection and went back down to talk to the doc. He said that there were no infection but that her lungs were full of mucous and that she most likely has RSV which induced Bronchoilitis! He did a breathing treatment on her to see if that would help and it did nothing. So, he told me the bad news that we would have to admit Lilley. By the time that we got admitted into the hospital (you would think that they would get us right up but no! we waiting for about 45 min!!! It made me so mad!!) her oxygen levels were down in the mid to low 80's and she was getting really bad! They hooked her up to oxygen got an IV started that look a long time. She was dehydrated and she has real small veins anyways, so that is why they ended up having to put the IV in her head. Once we got everything situated, we started in our daily routine for the next 4 days. Lilley would sleep a lot, every 3 hours they had to come in and suck her nose out, check her vitals. On day 2 we were able to lower the amount of O2 she was on to a 1/2 liter, but that was all. Day 3 it was lowered to 1/4 of a liter and we tried a couple of times to turn it off, but her levels would drop to the upper 80's so she had to go back on. The morning of day 4 the doc came in and took the tubes out of her nose and she never looked back! This was one of the scariest things I have ever been through even though I knew that she was going to be ok, it was still scary. She was so happy when we got home and slept so good! I hope that I never have to go through something like this ever again!

Liza and Lilley

So this year instead of heading over to my parents for brunch we ended going over for dinner. It was kind of nice cause we had enough time between places to go home and let the kids take a nap and relax for a couple of hours before heading out for more fun. Brantley and Liza had so much fun playing together! They are so much alike that it is kinda scary but they also have a blast playing! It was so nice to see family that doesn't live around here and we missed those that couldn't be here. Hopefully next year! It was a great year.

Christmas Morning at the St.Jeors

After we opened presents at home tradition is we had straight to the St.Jeor's house and open presents with all the cousins from Grandma and Grandpa. This year was great as always. They were both spoiled rotten and Brantley had a blast! Poor Lilley was miserable. She had been on an antibiotic for the 5th time in the last 5 months and had a horrible diaper rash and yeast infection and was is a lot of pain. She spent most of the morning in the tub soaking and sleeping. Poor girl. I felt so bad but when she was out with everyone, she was still having fun.

Christmas morning was so much fun this year! Brantley was so excited that he ended up waking up at 1:00, 2:30, 4:00 and then decided to sleep in tell 8. Hahaha. Got to love it! Lilley was more into the wrapping paper and the boxes then the toys, but she is enjoying the toys now. More posts to come with Christmas at the Grandparents houses!!

We found this really cute gingerbread train instead of a house to make this year. It was a lot of fun building it since Brantley was into it and just loved it! Plus he loved eating the icing! This year has been so much fun! Brantley has been really into it and so excited for Christmas to get here.

9 Months Old!

So "Silly Lilley" is already 9 months old! I can't believe how fast she is growing and how much of a personality she is getting. She is such a joy to have around. At her 9 month check up, is weighed in at 18 pounds and 6 ounces and is 27.5" long both being in the 40%. So she is not a chubby as she was before, but she is moving around a lot now. Some little things about Lilley that I wanted to document. She LOVES her big brother. She loves to follow him around and watch him all of the time. She LOVES her mom even more. She is such a mamas girl. She will be happy as can be playing around and if I walk into the room she starts to cry and wants me to pick her up. I love it and hate it all at the same time. She is my little princess. She also loves her little animal blanket things. She can't sleep without them. She is crawling forward now but still is a little slow at it. She always has her tongue out (as you can tell by most of the recent pics that have been posted). I don't know why she does this, but she does and I think that it is so cute!!! She also loves to be naked (also, as you can tell my a lot of the pics I've posted recently). She and her big brother make me the happiest mom ever! I love my two little kids more then anything. Being a mom really is the best thing that has happened to me. They make my day every day!

Santa and Blitzen

So my parents neighbors did this really cool thing! My mom told me that they were going to have a reindeer at their house, but I wasn't sure exactly what it was going to be and was a little nervous since I didn't even know these people. I was so glad that we went cause they had their backyard all set up with Blitzen there, Santa and then they were serving hot dogs and hot chocolate. Brantley was hilarious. All day he was talking about see a reindeer (we didn't know Santa was going to be there) and when we got there he wouldn't even touch him and we had a hard time even getting him close to Blitzen. Then once we were up to see Santa, he wouldn't sit on his lap and it took a lot to get him to even tell him what he wanted for Christmas!!! We were finally able to get him to tell him one thing and the only reason that he sat on his lap is cause Lilley was but he wasn't very happy about it as you can tell from the picture. After we left he was mad cause he didn't tell Santa everything that he wanted so I told him that we will go see Santa again. He was okay with that and is now asking when can we go see him again. Funny kid!
