Brantley's first Chirstmas

His Cousin Liza holding him for the first time

Cousin Austin holding him for the first time

Cousin Ryleigh holding him for the first time

The newest member of the Huggins family William Leigh Huggins.  Brantley and Will are going to be best friends!

Christmas this year was very different.  Having a baby makes it funner but harder.  Brantley was not feeling good at all and was not himself at all.  Poor little guy had a hard day but he did get some new toys from everyone that I am sure that he will start to enjoy playing with really soon!

Bear and Binkie

Brantley is starting to develop a love and need for these two things.  He has to have them both every time he is in the car and when he sleeps.  I think that it is a start of an attachment!  I think that it is just too cute!

Brantley's baby blessing

We blessed Brantley this last weekend.  It was a great day.  Grandma Huggins made his outfit and Grandma St.Jeor made his blanket.  He has very loving and talented grandmas!

Billy Bed

Brantley was jaundice when we left the hospital but his billy rubin levels weren't so high that he had to stay in the hospital but we did need to go back into the docs office the next few days to have his levels checked again.  Well they came back high and the doc ordered a billy bed for us to take home.  This was not fun at all.  In fact I hated it.  He had to lay on this bed while it shined lights on him all day unless I was feeding him or changing his diaper.  We ended up cheating a little and took him outside to get some sun light that way so that we could at least hold him some.  I personally think that the sun helped him more then the bed did.  We found out after we returned the bed back that they did not give us the upper part of it and it wasn't fully affective.  We had to be on this bed for 4 days total but luckily he is fine now.  Glad that is over with!

Brantley Harold St.Jeor

What a world wind experience!!  With this being my first, I was terrified and so excited all at once.  I was started early in the morning and I had him at 4:19 pm.  I really had an easy labor and delivery.  The doctor broke my water in the morning and started me on the drip.  I was steady in dilating and things went really smooth tell about 2.  The nurse checked me and told me that I was at a 10 and ready to start pushing but my doctor was not there.  When she called my doc he was at another hospital delivering another baby and to have me rest and descend.  So, that is just what I did.  It really wasn't a big deal but the nurse was getting worried because my doc was taking a while to get there.  Come to find out there was an accident and he was stuck in traffic.  Well he finally got the the hospital and Brantley was born just a few pushes later.  It really was an amazing experience that I will never forget.  Seeing him for the first time was nothing I had ever experienced before.  I am a mom!  It's so crazy to think that.  He is a perfect new born.  He is just beautiful!!  We are so lucky to have him join our little family.
