Easter Morning

Oh how I love holidays!!  Easter is one of my favorites. The kids get new outfits, a couple of toys and a day to just hang out and play with your kids.  This year was especially great.  We went to my families on Saturday and Justin's family party wasn't until Monday so we spent all day with just us.  The kids woke up and found their Easter baskets and then found all of the eggs that the Easter bunny hid, played for a bit with their new toys and games then we went to the park and played.  We just hung out and had a great relaxing day.  It was awesome!! 

Dying Easter Eggs

So this year with egg dying we had soo much fun!!  They colored all over the eggs with the white crayon and loved how it showed up after they dyed them.  Lilley was old enough to really get into it and Brantley loved showing Lilley on what to do. 

Flying Kites and Launching Rockets

Saturday before Easter my parents had us all over for dinner and to go fly kites and shoot off rockets.  Brantley was so excited for the rockets!  Last summer him and his cousin Austin did them and launched them and he's been asking to do it again all winter long.  He loved every minute of it!

Easter Egg Hunt

So this year we did our own Easter egg hunt instead of going to the city ones since last year was such a bad experience.  (You can read about it here).  So we invited some friends over and I hid it all outside and the kids had a blast!!  They got a lot of candy, loved being with their friends and just had a great time.  So much better then the city ones!!  Everyone stuck around for a bit and the kids had a great time on sugar highs and playing downstairs and the parents had a great time hanging out.  It was a great start to an awesome Easter weekend.  Thanks everyone who came and supported us in this.  I'm hoping we can do it every year!

Fire Station

Brantley went to the fire station a couple of weeks ago with his preschool.  I was a little sad with this cause I was not able to go with him since I had to work but Justin was able to take him for the first time.  Brantley really like that.  Justin said that Brantley had a blast and Brantley told me that he loved seeing the fire station and fire trucks and learning about them.   

First Camping Trip of the Year

So we were able to make our first trip out to the dunes a couple weeks ago.  The first day was great!!  It was warm, sunny and just a beautiful day.  The second day not so much.  We spent most of the time in the trailers cause it was soo windy!  And lets just say that wind and sand do not mix!  We still were able to have a great weekend though.  Brantley rode his new bike for the first time in the dirt and he did awesome!  Although we figured he would.  He scared me a little and got up to 30mph on that thing and it wasn't even close to top speed (we were following him in the RZR).  This summer might give me a heart attach watching him but man it suprises me every time I watch him on how good he is on it!

We stopped at one of the dunes and of course like always the kids had to hike up a big dune and role down it.  They had sand everywhere!!  Love it!

Even Lilley and Landin climbed up the dune!  They are getting too big!  There were the babies last year and now they are one of the kids.  Kinda sad.  They aren't babies anymore!
