Christmas Evening at the Huggins's

So this year instead of heading over to my parents for brunch we ended going over for dinner. It was kind of nice cause we had enough time between places to go home and let the kids take a nap and relax for a couple of hours before heading out for more fun. Brantley and Liza had so much fun playing together! They are so much alike that it is kinda scary but they also have a blast playing! It was so nice to see family that doesn't live around here and we missed those that couldn't be here. Hopefully next year! It was a great year.

Christmas Morning at the St.Jeors

After we opened presents at home tradition is we had straight to the St.Jeor's house and open presents with all the cousins from Grandma and Grandpa. This year was great as always. They were both spoiled rotten and Brantley had a blast! Poor Lilley was miserable. She had been on an antibiotic for the 5th time in the last 5 months and had a horrible diaper rash and yeast infection and was is a lot of pain. She spent most of the morning in the tub soaking and sleeping. Poor girl. I felt so bad but when she was out with everyone, she was still having fun.

Christmas morning was so much fun this year! Brantley was so excited that he ended up waking up at 1:00, 2:30, 4:00 and then decided to sleep in tell 8. Hahaha. Got to love it! Lilley was more into the wrapping paper and the boxes then the toys, but she is enjoying the toys now. More posts to come with Christmas at the Grandparents houses!!

Christmas Fun!

We found this really cute gingerbread train instead of a house to make this year. It was a lot of fun building it since Brantley was into it and just loved it! Plus he loved eating the icing! This year has been so much fun! Brantley has been really into it and so excited for Christmas to get here.

9 Months Old!

So "Silly Lilley" is already 9 months old! I can't believe how fast she is growing and how much of a personality she is getting. She is such a joy to have around. At her 9 month check up, is weighed in at 18 pounds and 6 ounces and is 27.5" long both being in the 40%. So she is not a chubby as she was before, but she is moving around a lot now. Some little things about Lilley that I wanted to document. She LOVES her big brother. She loves to follow him around and watch him all of the time. She LOVES her mom even more. She is such a mamas girl. She will be happy as can be playing around and if I walk into the room she starts to cry and wants me to pick her up. I love it and hate it all at the same time. She is my little princess. She also loves her little animal blanket things. She can't sleep without them. She is crawling forward now but still is a little slow at it. She always has her tongue out (as you can tell by most of the recent pics that have been posted). I don't know why she does this, but she does and I think that it is so cute!!! She also loves to be naked (also, as you can tell my a lot of the pics I've posted recently). She and her big brother make me the happiest mom ever! I love my two little kids more then anything. Being a mom really is the best thing that has happened to me. They make my day every day!

Santa and Blitzen

So my parents neighbors did this really cool thing! My mom told me that they were going to have a reindeer at their house, but I wasn't sure exactly what it was going to be and was a little nervous since I didn't even know these people. I was so glad that we went cause they had their backyard all set up with Blitzen there, Santa and then they were serving hot dogs and hot chocolate. Brantley was hilarious. All day he was talking about see a reindeer (we didn't know Santa was going to be there) and when we got there he wouldn't even touch him and we had a hard time even getting him close to Blitzen. Then once we were up to see Santa, he wouldn't sit on his lap and it took a lot to get him to even tell him what he wanted for Christmas!!! We were finally able to get him to tell him one thing and the only reason that he sat on his lap is cause Lilley was but he wasn't very happy about it as you can tell from the picture. After we left he was mad cause he didn't tell Santa everything that he wanted so I told him that we will go see Santa again. He was okay with that and is now asking when can we go see him again. Funny kid!

Are we ready?

So Lilley is starting to crawl. She is still struggling with moving forward, but can crawl backwards real well and get from her stomach to sitting. Also, she has said her first word!!!! I was so happy to hear it be MAMA!!!! And the real cool part is that she knows that mama is me. I LOVE IT!!!

New Tricks!

So Lilley has hit a few milestone in the last couple of weeks. She got her first tooth, started rolling all over the place, and can pull herself up on furniture and stand by herself. She also gets on all fours and rocks back and forth, but is not crawling yet. I didn't have any still pics of her rolling but I got a video of it so that will be coming soon. And the biggest milestone that she reached is she will now take a bottle!!! I have been working on her with this for the last 5 months almost everyday and was about to give up, then she all of a sudden decided that she liked it! She will now take a bottle and I now have a little more freedom! Way to go Lilley!!!! This was a huge relief for me.

So Halloween this year had its up and downs. Our neighborhood decided to do trunk or treat on Halloween tell 6:30 which totally ruined it for us to trick or treat in our neighborhood since we had plans with Justin's family later that night which really made me mad! Who does trunk or treat on Halloween? Anyways, we decided to go trick or treating around Justin's sisters neighborhood instead. Brantley had a BLAST!!!! He was running from house to house and just loved it! Lilley was just great with walking around and loved looking at all of the fun costumes. So, the night ended up being a lot of fun anyways. Brantley just didn't get to see all of his friends dressed up. Maybe next year he will see them!

Black Island Farms Field Trip

Brantley went on his first field trip in Preschool this month to Black Island Farms. They were able to go on a hay ride, pick their own pumpkin, go on a train ride and go down big slides. He had so much fun and I loved being able to meet all of the kids in his preschool and some of the parents. Such a fun day!

Last Camping Trip of the Year

So for the last trip of the year we headed down to the dunes last weekend. It was great weather and we had a blast! Riding, playing in the sand, getting dirty how much better does it get? What a great summer we had camping!!!
